Silicone foam is mainly made of silicone rubber raw material, supplemented with fillers (such as white carbon black), vulcanization accelerators, foaming agents and other auxiliary materials. After mixing evenly, it is made through high-pressure and high-temperature foaming process. Its microstructure presents a porous honeycomb like structure with a density as low as 0.16-0.45 g/cm ³ (matrix density 1.17 g/cm ³), forming a polymer elastomer with both elasticity and lightweight properties. ‌

Foaming technology: including chemical foaming (decomposition of hydroxyl foaming agents to produce gas) and physical foaming (expansion of organic foaming microspheres).
Special modification processes: such as UV light curing, plasma treatment, flame retardant compounding (aluminum hydroxide/spherical silicon composite flame retardant), etc.
Structural control: By adjusting the cell size through the use of a foaming agent and process parameters, closed cell/open cell structural design can be achieved.
